Teaser from Episode 101 introducing Ava Richards and the cutthroat world of Bishop Gray Academy
AVA (V.O.) Bishop Gray Academy: the most prestigious boarding school in the country -- and the most cutthroat. Everything, and I mean everything at Bishop Gray revolves around... the List. MONTAGE: A SERIES OF STUDENTS ADDRESS THE AUDIENCE. STUDENT 4 (nerdy af) Is it fucked up that our school publicly ranks the top ten students on campus? Of course. Would I cut off both my arms to get on? Absolutely. AVA (V.O.) To make it on, you need to excel in three areas. Academics. STUDENT 2 (very anxious) I take four AP's, two languages, and an intensive writing seminar -- and I'm only on thirty milligrams of Adderall! AVA (V.O.) Extracurriculars. STUDENT 1 (bro-y) The competition is brutal, so you need to participate wherever you can -- I'm the VP of the bee keeping club and I'm allergic to bees. AVA (V.O.) And "social involvement." Which is another way to say "popularity." AVA (V.O.) I'm not supposed to be here. Nobody in my hometown of Loveland, Pennsylvania, population twelve thousand, understands why I sacrificed my friends, my sanity, and my childhood to get here. But I'm here now. And I'm not going to settle for mediocrity -- because getting into the top ten opens up a lot of doors -- Harvard, Yale, Google, Apple, US Senate. And if you graduate #1... the entire world is yours for the choosing. I want that. And it's going to be mine.
